The Effect of Brexit on Road Transport

The future regarding Brexit is currently uncertain, however it is increasingly likely that the UK will crash out of the European Union on 30th March 2019, without a deal.

Both sides are preparing for a 'no deal' event, and we are scouring our sources to bring you the latest news that impacts on the road haulage industry.

European Union Preparedness Statements

Should the UK crash out of the EU in a 'no deal' situation, the EU position is that the UK will become a 'third' country and road transport operators should be preparing for such a situation by fully understanding the consequences of such an event.

Both sides are preparing so called 'preparedness notices' however, the EU is ahead of the UK, having already published it's preparedness notice on road transport (along with 62 others) which can be viewed on the EU website - Click here to access.
